Solid Color Deck &
Siding Finish

If you’re considering a solid finish for your deck, fence or siding this is by far the best product on the market. In the old days it required many hours & expensive labor to properly prep and solid stain a wood deck.

1. First clean & prep the deck. Strip off old stain as necessary.
2. Wait 2 days for the wood to dry, sand as necessary & apply an oil based (paint) primer to the entire deck.
3. Wait 2 days for the primer to dry & lightly sand any imperfections. Afterwards apply the first latex top coat.
4. Wait till dry…usually 1 day, sometimes less, depending on the weather. Finally apply the final finish coat.

You’re looking at 4 trips & coating the wood (in effect 3 paint jobs) 3 times!  This is cost prohibitive, but is the correct way to solid stain wood.  Some homeowners apply a “solid stain” without the prep & primer. Within 1 or 2 years they are doing it again. Coat after coat, year after year, & it ultimately fails (peeling, blistering.) Not to mention all the money wasted only to be disappointed once again.
